Now that I’m older, I realize how smart my mother was… IS….I’m working on planning McKenzie’s 2nd birthday party, My original plan was this:
Taco Guy – carne asada tacos, chips and salsa
Bounce House
Animal Balloon Artist/face painter
Cute Decorated Cupcakes
Piñata
Decorations to the max!!!
Well after pricing everything and realize that I’ll be spending over 500 bucks for a 2 year old birthday I party… I changed the plan:
Hamburgers/hotdogs (made by her Daddy!)
Chips
Costco Cupcakes
Bounce house
Arts and crafts table
Some decorations
And that will still be in the $200.00 range…. And as I was thinking about all the money I’m spending to have a great party for her… I remembered my Mothers yearly gift to my brother and me “do you want a party or $100” Now to us, THEN, $100 was a fortune!!!!! And to my mom…. not having to plan a party, and not having to spend probably $300 or more was a gift in its self!!!!
And now I realize how smart my mom was! She saved a fortune by giving us our fortune!!!
