great idea for a party...

Kel helped me out with this one... so i can't take all the credit... we were walking buy this big punch bowl, and I said "mmmm that would be soo good filled with Hot Chocolate during the holidays" and he said... "mmm even better... Tomato Soup! with little grilled cheeses to dip!" and then i thought of the most brilliant idea!!! a soup party during the holidays... get a bunch of different punch bowls, or just large bowls, and make a few different types of soup, have all the toppings... Examples

Tomato soup: have sour cream, and shredded cheese, maybe croutons
Potato soup: Have the above, plus chives, and bacon
Chili: onions, cheese, sour cream
Creamy onion: nothing really goes with this except maybe a swirl of cheese (I'll give the recipe soon)
Chicken noodle: maybe have extra chicken, or croutons

I'm so excited for this idea... maybe I'll use it soon!

Flower Girl

What a freakin cutie!!! i know i'm bias, but com'on... lol... this kid is too much...
I started making these head bands because i am kinda bored sitting around, and i had all this crap... ribbons, flowers, and head bands that she doesn't wear cause they aren't that cute... so i decided to make some head bands and clips... I think i'm gonna sell them... i think they are adorable!!! what do you think?

J-E-L-L-O

Your gonna love this! i LOVE jello... but hate having a huge bowl of jello in the fridge... plus... when there is a huge bowl, i usually just take it out and grab a spoon... so... i never make it because i don't want to eat the whole bowl in a day... so... i started saving the baby's baby food cups (if you need some... let me know! i have TONS!) and i decided to make some jello, and put it in the cups... so now when i pack kel's lunch, i add a little jello in it... and i have 1 or 2 during the day... and maybe share some with kenzie too... you can add fresh fruit to the cups before you pour the jello in. I added strawberry's... and just make it as usual...

Onion Chicken Side Dish... Green Bean Casserole

as a side dish, I made Kelvins favorite Green Bean Casserole... I didn't follow the directions tho... this is what i did...

1 can of green beans
1 can of cream of chicken soup (you could use any kind of cream soup you like)
pepper
half a cup french fried onions.

i mixed all of the above together... put it in separate dishes so we could each have on on our plate, rather than it running all over the place. baked for 25 mins (with the chicken) the last 5 mins, add more French fried onions to the top and let them crisp up... and BAM! easy as that!

Onion Chicken... u mite be cryin over the onions... but not cause of thier potancy!!!

I made this for me and kel... and we were fighting over the remaining onions... they were sooo good!!! try this one out forsure!!!

Ingrediants:
1 onion
2 (or more if you want/need) Chicken Breast's
1/4 cup of butter
salt
lemon pepper
dried parsley flakes

Slice the onion and put the rounds in the bottom of a casserole dish. Take 1/2 of the butter and rub it on the chicken, then sprinkle with salt, pepper, lemon pepper, and parsley. Sprinkle the onions with the same mixture. Place the chicken over the top of the onions and dot the onions with the remaining butter. Place the lid on and bake at 350 for about 25 min. At 25 min, remove the lid and baste with the melted butter (i just used a spoon to spoon it over the the chicken). Turn the heat up to 450, and let cook for another 3 min, repeat once. Once the Chicken is golden brown on top, remove the chicken from the oven. Place the breast on plate, and take the onions, which are now very sweet and flavorful, and place them on top of the chicken. and EAT!!!

Shepherds pie ... finished

Once the meat mixture has simmered for a few mins... add to a casserole dish, add the potatoes... I used scalloped so i added the dried potatoes first, and then poured the cream mixture (from the box) to the top. Bake at 350 for 25-30 mins. Once the mixture is bubbling hot add the french fried onions to the top, crushing them with your hand as you sprinkle them on top. Bake for another 5 mins, or until the onions are golden brown and crispy.
Take out of the oven, let cool for a few... and then ENJOY!!!

I hope this was fun and easy for you to make... let me know if you have any questions...

Shepherds pie... cont...

Once the onions are caramelized add the hamburger meat, break it up, and cook it through. once cooked through, drain off grease and add veggies... you can use as much or as little as you like... i used about a cup of frozen carrots and broccoli... you can through in spinach, zucchini, squash, anything!!!

After the veggies are added, add the 2 spoons of sour cream, and splash of milk or cream (i used cream) (you could also make a gravy out of the grease and use that as the "sauce" but i like the sour cream/cream mixture...

Mix up everything and let it simmer for a min or two...

Shepherds pie... yum

Okay, I made this for dinner last week... I actually made it Thursday, but didn't feel like baking it off, so i refrigerated it and made it Sunday night for dinner... You need:

little drip of olive oil

1 Onion

1 lb of hamburger

2 spoons of sour cream

a splash of milk or cream

Veggies... any kind, frozen or fresh

potatoes... i used scalloped potatoes, but you can use mashed, and i used them from the box,but you could make them from scratch.

french fried onions...

so here we go:
dice up the onion... doesn't need to be perfect... i did big dice because they will sweat and shrink and I wanted to taste them in the end result...
cook the onions in the olive oil until they are caramelized, but not completely cooked through.... I use a little liquid... either vegetable, chicken, beef broth, or water... I add it little by little as I'm cooking the onion to de-caramelize the pan and it helps the onions to cook a little faster with out getting burned.

I had to do a few different posts because the blogger couldn't handle all of my pics in 1 blog... hmmmm

Fairy Princess

This is my cute little baby...For her 1st Halloween she is going to be a fairy princess.
I purchased a plain tutu from TJ Max for 10 bucks and added a rose and a bunch of different ribbons
to the tutu. I just used hot glue and stuck em on there!

I made the flower in her hair also... just took an alligator clip, ribbon, and a silk flower and hot glued it all together...

The wings were purchased at TJ Max for 4 bucks. I removed the flower that was on the wings, and replaced it with a prettier one along with ribbon.

Here is the tutu and wings finished...

Hello...

This is my first post to my new blog... I'm really excited to bring you all the exciting details of my day! (sarcastic!) I hope we are friends for a long time! please feel free to share your thoughts, and if there is something you want to see me make, let me know! I'll make it!
